TerraLock Specifications

               The TerraLock product comprises, one locking clip and one geotextile unit.

The durable TerraLock locking plate has 8 spikes on the under-side with three on the upper-side.   Dimensions are 100mm wide and 306mm long.  The locking plate interconnects the TerraLock for permanent fastening.

TerraLock is 300mm wide and 880mm long and 100 units weigh 17kg.  It is made from a non-woven, non-biodegradable fabric that is turned inside-out to hide the selvedge (hem and stitching) for a neater construction. When filled with material percentages (30% sand, 50% aggregate material and 20% compost) to 70% full, the open end is folded under the unit and spiked with the locking plate.

Resistant to degradation encountered in most soils and water, TerraLock is stable within a PH range of 2-13.  TerraLock prevents soil particle migration, has high puncture strength and readily allows for water to flow through and for root and grass penetration.   The retaining wall needs to be planted out or hydro-seeded to protect it from the UV rays.
